It's fun to be apart of the wedding details with some brides from the beginning. I get to hear about their story, be in the midst of the planning details, and then get to see pics from their big day! This bride was no different. I met her to do the save the dates, and then had fun designing all the NAVY BLUE + PINK paper details! But before we get to that, meet Stephanie & Herbie.
Here's their story, from the groom's perspective:
"It’s often said that love knows no bounds. This couldn’t be truer in the case of Stephanie and Herbie. Stephanie was a teacher in Plano, TX while Herbie was hopping around the United States going through Marine flight training. Luckily, they shared a common acquaintance, Stephanie’s sister Leslie. Leslie is married to one of Herbie's buddies who went through flight school with him and was gracious enough to allow Herbie to go out with Stephanie.
It all started with a Journey concert in San Diego, CA one epic weekend in October. Unbeknownst to anyone, Herbie had planned the weekend specifically so he could get to know Stephanie better. After an awesome night in San Diego they all met back up in Yuma, AZ the following day to go out on the town. Everyone had a great time and by the end of the night Herbie was already smitten with Steph. She had his heart and he was determined to get a second date. Coincidentally, the Marine Corps Ball was coming up 3 weeks later and it was the perfect opportunity for another date. Stephanie agreed to go with Herbie to the ball and the rest, as they say, is history.
Since the ball, they used every free opportunity as an excuse to see each other. Whether it was a ski trip to Tahoe or a Bennett family vacation to the Grand Canyon, they were inseparable. It still amazes us how the winds of fate can work to bring two people, whom had no idea of each other’s existence, together for a wonderful life. Everyday my love for her continues to grow and we are both excited and eager to be able to now settle down and share the rest of our lives together.
After going on a honeymoon cruise to the Bahamas, we have finally settled back into reality. We are currently living in Yucca Valley, CA and enjoying every minute of our lives together!"
The invitations were printed on Crane's white cotton paper with navy blue ink. The envelopes were lined with a custom navy liner featuring their initials and a splash of pink. The programs and napkins carried out the color theme.
Thank you Stephanie, for letting me be a small part of your BIG day! I hope you and Herbie every minute of this new stage in life! Congrats!
